In another thread, people at talking about electric guitars they have recently bought or have owned.
If we HAVE to do this, it might be more appropriate here.
I have a hard time remembering the 60-70s, so am not sure what I've had. I'm told I had a Rickenbacker 12 string.. I'm also told I went to Woodstock.. so.. sure..right..
I fondly remember a cherry-red 355 clone, no idea what brand it was.
I, of course, had the Gibson SG Custom, cream white with gold fixings.. My dad bought it from a piano store for $350. I later traded at a violin store for an Finnish Espana 12, Espana classical and $350...
The electric guitar I used during my band days was a '61 Telecaster that had been casterated by a previous owner. The lower bout had been removed, the headstock and neck shaved and it was painted with blue house paint. It was a horror.
I stripped it down, and finished it with clear varnish. Since I was an electronics design nut I redid the electronics. I removed the neck pickup and replaced it with a Dimarzio humbucker and added an Ibanez humbucker in center.
I designed a custom pickguard for the EQ slide controls and 5 rocker switches I added for effects like over-drive and phase reversal. When the pickup guard got badly scratched from the picks, I added the faux-leather. Added the F logo at that time.
I hand masked and etched the 2 printed circuit boards in the kitchen sink..(yup ferric chloride down the drain!) The pcb was a double decker.

I used this guitar hard for, 3?, not sure how long. But when I stopped playing it, I stopped playing all guitars until 2000.
In 2013 I bought an Epiphone special II to see if I still liked doing electric..
haven't played it since, so...seems not too much
