New strings for my Entourage Concert

FWIW, personally I like the "Custom Light" sets with a .11 high E; I find 12s too stiff and 13s might as well be bridge cables. I like the Ernie Ball Aluminum Bronze and the D'Addario EXP26; those two are my "go-to" strings

It's a Seagull Entourage Concert.  That's in the thread title.  It's sitka spruce top and laminated cherry back and sides.  I think it now has D'Addario 11's, probably phos/bronze strings that came on it new.  I like the sound so I'm thinking of just moving up to 12's but I just wonder what everyone else is using on these guitars.

I was surprised that the guitar came with 11's.  Being short scale, it should be low tension anyway.  12's didn't work for me on my Martin 25.25 scale. My left for-arm got strained.  I want to try them on this guitar.

Got it new from MF Deal of the Day.  When I got it, it had a kind of ''ol timey'' tone. Nice, kind of jangly.  Now it mellowed into a really sweet sound.  Maybe it has 80/20's, right now it's sounding really good.


I bought it as a travel guitar since it was so inexpensive.  It is my first Canadien guitar but not the first guitar made in Canada that I have ordered.  Steve Denvir of London, Ontario is making a 000 one with lutz top and rosewood back and sides;
