Do you remember all the guitar tuners you've had?

Here are mine in order of purchase:

1) Ye pitch pipe of old
2) Seiko chromatic tuner (black) - used this for years and never let me down
3) Another Seiko (white), but thinner and more modern looking. Still have it in the bass case. Very accurate.
4) Digitech Polyphonic stomp tuner - wonderful stage tuner. Has been replaced by the Snark but saving it for my eventual acoustic pedal board.
5) Korg yellow clip on tuner - good tuner. Built well. Gave it to a friend.
6) Snark - My go-to tuner for my acoustic
7) A back up no name clip on. Got it as case candy on that Sigma I flipped. Never used it yet.
8) Guitar Tuna App - Usually use this when I am in guitar stores or if I dont have the Snark around. Very handy.

In my experience Duracell is the worst for life.

Most of my emergency lites (the DOllorama various), use 3 AA or AAA) For years I bought the big Duracell battery packs at Costo to save money (*yeah right). But I noticed every time one of the hand lights failed, it was one of the 3 Duracells LEAKING. I stopped buying Duracell.
I use Energizer now for 9V for smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and electronic tools. And anything but Duracell for AA and AAA.

As far as buttons are concerned...too many needed!
 We got car keyfobs (4), Fitbit, Hygrometers (8), tuners (10 including built-in) did I forget something... i'll find out when something fails ah slide rule!

I have to keep stock of 5 types:1620,2016,2025,2032, and the tiny 357/AG13
The hygrometers use 2 different types depending on age, 2032 or AG13
2016,2025,2032 are the same diameter, different thickness..
unfortunately the AG13 are alkaline, so I get a few faded Hygrometer displays.

We use way too many batteries these days. Or is it just me? I keep a dozen rechargeable AAs for computer Mouses, Backup lights and Cameras etc and there the big batteries in computer backup supplies.... The ni-cad packs in our Home Phones are constantly wearing out. 

I seems like I am recycling a full Pringles can of dead batteries every 3-4 months >!<

jamesM, Hey, good intentions and a lack of info, I've been there and done that!  lol.  Nothing wrong with that.  But once you know......well, you know. 

I use cheaper 9 volts for my guitars as well.  They don't last quite as long, but since they're far less than 50% of the cost of the big brands, I always have 2.  One in the guitar, and one backup.  2 is still less than one of the big brands so why not?  And with the amount of time I spend plugged in, "cost-per-hour" is my #1 concern. 

I would buy all batteries from Sunbeam if I could find them but the main ones I find in my area are the button 2032s for Snarks etc.  For AA and AAA I usually get the Panasonic Heavy Duty ones which are pretty darn cheap but work well for everything I use them for.  I stay away from the absolute bottom-of-the-barrel ones though.  There is a point where cheap just gets too cheap.
