I'm trying to make a major decision here. For years I've been wanting an Epi Les Paul Custom and finally ordered one last week. I ordered it last Thursday during that horrible cold snap here in Indiana, and asked if they could arrange for it to be delivered on Tuesday, and they said no problem. It usually takes one day to get here so I assumed they would ship it on Monday once it warmed up to 50 degrees! It had been -10 degrees! I checked the tracking and it shipped Thursday and was left on a truck from Thursday until Tuesday out in the cold. What had happened was, it was shipped immediately but they told FedEx to hold it and not deliver it until Tuesday, apparently. So all that time it's in a delivery truck or inside a cold hub, which is just as bad. Anyway it's my fault for not making it clear that I wanted it shipped on Monday, so I'm not blaming them. I let the guitar sit for over 24 hours before I opened it and checked everything out and it seems fine, but I've heard that there can be damage that isn't apparent immediately, especially if you don't have a trained eye. I would never in a million years leave my guitar out in the cold in my car for 6 days when the temperature was -10 some nights and 20° other nights. Would you want a new guitar that was subjected to this? I know guitars are shipped in temperature extremes all the time, but it just really makes me uncomfortable thinking this beautiful guitar was out in that awful weather for so many days. Trying to decide if I should keep it or send it back. I'm leaning toward keeping it since it looks and plays fine, but it still really bothers me. Thanks for any advice! (It was not shipped in a case, since I already had a case for it. So it was just in its Epiphone box, inside the shipping box.

Actually, as I said, I had been planning on buying this model for quite some time, & since they had my fave finish (wine red) on sale, how could I resist?!
