I got up at midnight to use the bathroom and turn off the old window A/C , I didn't notice my wife moved this chair out from the wall which has a 18" fan on it. Somehow I tripped , and hit a few things , so fast I don;t know what yet skinned my left knee , sprained my left hand and hit my head in two places and cut my left shoulder and don't know what I did to my right middle toe that's what caught the chair. Sure woke up my wife since it was so loud , see thought I fell out of bed until she saw me crumpled up on the floor.
I have not fallen since I was a kid on the ice. Or off a bike you just get up and move on.
I saw some post here about owning a home or renting. All I will say is in the 80's in FL I lived in one of those huge sort of apts that was a gated community with my wife"s brother since he could not afford it himself ,I was told I could park my van in the back yet every single day I would come out to go to work did construction back them and found these notices glued on the windshield that I had to scrap off, each day there were more on all the windows , Finally watched to find out who after a month hoping it would end. I collected his notices and wall did his entire car. Then it ended.
We got another rent raise for this dump, my car registration is $125 due by Nov 12th so I need to pay it this month , next month will be the electric and using the window A/C it's not going to be cheap it's usually $60 two months since it's been so hot here and humid , I think they do control the weather.
Living on a fixed income is a day to day horror show. I don't see the politicians who created this Caif horror show suffering , no they get a great wage , lie to get in office then make a 180 turn and have free healthcare.
I detest the heat , can't wait for winter it's never freezing yet not in the 90's. We have tents all over the sidewalks , these scooters for rent everywhere . garbage tossed on the streets , couches someone tossed out sitting for months. Broken glass bottles i need to watch unless I want to by new tires I cannot afford.
If we live through this and can save enough we are out of here. We are the old people now. When we moved here in 81 it was not bad ,once the nineties rolled in it got worse and worse.
Yes I know it's not just here , come visit this state then tell me about it. Rant over.
