I'm not very knowledgeable on acoustic pickups, that being said my Alvarez MFA 70ce came with the B Band SYS550 pre amp under saddle/soundboard set up.
So far I have no complaints, it has a three band eq, notch filter, a slider to mix between the pickups, volume, and a tuner, (The tuner is not so accurate and it makes a slight "Pop" when engaging, well, that's one complaint!), other than that I'm able to get some very nice tones with this unit, very quiet also.
