Still worried about my wife's foot

I've talked with blues90, several times, on the phone, the last few days... his wife is in the hospital and not happy about it. They both are scared and confused and worried... I hope the calls help...

He played a guitar (his Luna) a little for me on the phone. Said it's the first time he's played in months... what I could make out over the phone was pretty dadgum interestin... I suggested he should try a slide... he agreed that might be a good idea...

Yes Talking to Garland over the phone absolutely helps, he has experience with many aspects of hospitals.

I was there with her most of the day Sunday and Monday and my lord you wait and wait the nurses forgot so I took into my own hands to tell them what she needed. Many speak with accents that are difficult to understand and the worst part is this Doctor Barkhodarian comes in the one who is doing the surgery and came in well after visiting hours and said to her she may loose toes maybe her right foot of even her leg. Imagine hearing that before he even begins, talk about instilling fear and the complete lack of compassion.

It took me hours to get his name and now if her experience has not been bad enough to instill fear in her like that is beneath human.

I called their complaint line and also sent an email so I can get to the bottom of this insanity. She has the right to refuse treatment yet then what. My only hope is they assign another Doctor.

I am not going to allow them to get away with this.

She was suffering here and the very idea that she is in no less pain there and looks worse , saying to me she wishes she never went not blaming me is a mountain of a heart breaker to attempt to climb.

What happened to do no harm , what happened to this medical system. When I went today to shell out another $95 for this rapid covid test at this clinic here there was a young lady who's mother is at Ceder for hearth surgery and she was there before me and I got my test and on my way out she was still begging them to get her test down.

I have no idea what hospitals are like in other states or countries yet in Los Angeles it is a nightmare you never wake up from.

I was not there so can only go by what you say.

But as an example, a few years ago my wife had to have a triple heart bypass.
More than one surgeon explained in graphic detail what the procedure would be, then informed the wife and me, that the operation could lead to death, brain damage and possibly been partly paralysed.
As far as I am aware the medical profession don't pull any punches and hit you with the facts, they don't do it to scare you (but it does), but to totally let you know the full facts, so that unfortunately if something does go wrong, you can't say they didn't warn you.
Just put your faith in the medical profession, they will do there upmost to get the best possible outcome.
Nearly forgot, the wife's operation when fine, she is now very happy and healthy, if she had not had the operation she would be dead now.

I'll try to be to the point.

Today 3/29/2020 I spoke to my wife at 8am and she was told she was going in for surgery between 3 and 4 PM. She asked me to come so of course I did. I get to her room and she's not there. I ask at the nursing desk which is the only place you can and they took her down for surgery at 9 am. The reason I was given was a mix up between her an another patient. I even before this got in touch with their consumer affairs dept via email and she came to the empty room and asked what was up so I told her. She apologized , I said that's fine yet in no way does this help with her expecting to see me because someone dropped the ball.

I finally spoke to her today and she told me they were going to operate on the foot maybe removing toes. I called back hours later to find out if and when she was having surgery I was told there is nothing in their system that says so yet I should call back at 10am speak to the head nurse to find out.

Plus the Dr who did the stent in her right leg is not the one who does the foot and they don't know what Dr will or even when.

I am left hanging in the wind and so is she.

Thing is if they tell me she is not due for surgery I could still arrive and find she is in for surgery simply because of today's experience. How on earth can I trust anything I'm told.
