I hope that doesn't happen the Cabin dying a slow death. Garland certainly had a lot to post and read and think about whether his open mic or guitars he was getting of what he changed on each to male them his own.
I have a ton of his messages from around the time my wife's foot issue began, that's when he gave me his number and email.
Maybe it's me , in a way it's a mystery how few on this forum, you being the first have said anything about Garland. I was going to text his son and ask how his service went, it's been a while and I know his son was keeping Garlands phone going maybe I waited to long I haven't tried, or I just felt it best for his son if I didn't. No idea.
My guitar posts are in some way just a distraction for me even though I'm serious about it and I have posted before on this guitar and other guitars I have either bought or did work on. AS you said not very many are interested and that's understandable.
I have this set of chisels I got from sears decades ago there are 5 made in USA they seem sharp but I only used a few then I remembered I have a set of three made by Stanley which are much better made and all I could find was one the 1/2" so I brought the cutting edge back had chips in it now it's razor sharp just to trim the screw hole plugs. I went to pick up some groceries yesterday and decided to look at the sears chisels I have them in the plastic fold up in an old plastic brief case and sit in on a small step latter , it was not balanced so when I took out the chisel it tipped and somehow found a deep cut in the left thumb near the palm , I think it was the case not the chisel.
I am very guilty of not properly sharpening my chisels!! I bought a guide and stones, but still haven't done it. A dull chisel almost cost me the use of them left thumb, if it wasn't for my very quick reflexes stopping the chisel from cutting thru the tendons.
I haven't posted in the last few days because I've been locked out of the forum at home. I get that occasionally. It usually clears in a few days.
