A friend of mine recently bought a new Martin, that he brought to a jam session at my house about a month ago. I did not know the model at that time, but was curious. Last night he brought the Martin again, and I discovered that it's a DCPA4 Rosewood.
In the session we had last night the Martin sounded a little fuller than it had the first time, and I also played the guitar for a little while. It's a very nice guitar. It does have richlight fingerboard & bridge, but the fingerboard feels good.
I'm considering satisfying some GAS next Feb, and if I go for a dread I may be considering a Martin. Anyone here been looking at the Performing Artist series, or have opinions on them? I have not A/B'd D18, D28, & DCPA, but perhaps others have.
