A few days ago, put a set of Martin SP Flexible Core strings (the one with a picture of Tommy on the front, if no picture they will be silk and steel, strings) on my Crafter OM guitar.
Very impressed with these strings, so impressed I have sent of for another couple of packs, they are out of stock here in the UK, three week wait.
Price of Strings from Strings and Beyond less than $5, here in the UK £10 per pack.
They are excellent for fingerpicking, very kind on the fingers with a nice mellow tone, they are not coated, so the only unknown is, just how long they will last.
Anyone else tried these strings. 😁

I not sure what Tommy Emmanuel's picture has do with changing from phosphor Bronze to Silk and Steel.

According to Martin site the strings are Phosphor Bronze with thicker windings and thinner cores..no silk..

But they do have Eric Clapton's Choice Acoustic Strings....

The string with Tommy on cover and the strings on the Martin site cannot both be same product!
I have Flexible Core SP Medium PB MFX750

There are 2 OTHER Flexible Core SP products listed:

Martin SP Flexible Core 92/8 Phosphor Bronze acoustic guitar strings are made with the highest quality bronzed steel core wire and phosphor bronze wrap wire.

Martin SP Flexible Core Silk & Phosphor acoustic guitar strings are made with bronzed steel core wire.

The nomenclature seems confusing to me and I have the T-shirt!

Perhaps Martin has regional variants? Anyone confirm?

Not yet, they are mediums and since I have changed strings on 4 guitars in last month I do not have many options left. The S6? Perhaps on the Gretsch resonator? Certainly not the Baritone...

Just a quick update on the Martin Flexible Core Strings.
Even though these strings have a great tone, and are really nice on the fingers to play, they do not have a very long life span (about two weeks),but in all fairness I have quite acid finger sweat, and any uncoated strings tend not to last very long, so back to the Elixir strings.
It would be nice to know how long a life span other people get out of these strings.
