Acquired a 2007 Taylor GS7 today, It's the second year of the grand symphony, in the 700 class of guitars. Played it long enough to know I like it but those medium,12 strings have to go. Have a set of 10 elixirs ready to go on.
I like this gs7 more today than yesterday. That rosewood/cedar is unique sounding..definitely warm and pleasant. Physically it feels a lot like the artist studio, rosewood/spruce. The gs7 has a longer scale and slightly larger body. The neck relief is .010 and the height at the 12th fret is just under 2.25mm. It plays and feels great. Niether taylor nor godin disappointed, both great guitars. Note, the taylor cost me the meritime and the tacoma but well worth the sacrifice.
