Nice tune! Like the vocalist -- and I can hear the Tele!

Someday I want to own a Strat -- honestly, I prefer them to the Telecaster, but they're both excellent guitars.

Not to hijack El Gull's thread too much -- the problem with Strats are there seem to be about a thousand different versions that Fender makes...

 The main difference between the thousand different versions of the Fender Stratocaster, is price.
 The more you pay, the little bit of extra quality you get, the same rules as when buying an Acoustic Guitar, hold it, like it , play it, buy it.
 The main difference when you buy a Stratocaster, if for some unknown reason you didn't like something, about it, just change the part you don't like, e.g tuners, neck, pick ups, some people just buy all the parts and make their own, if a neck reset is ever required, no problem, thirty minute job.

I think this song did suit the Tele tone, especially the appregios in the verses. But I would have loved to hear this with a Strat neck pickup. I think a Strat would have sounded better when it gets heavier in the bridge section.

I'll freely admit that I am not a very polished electric guitarist and am still learning the ropes. At the point we played this song I only know 3 shapes of the minor pentatonic scale. I've now built that up to all 5, although I'm still quite clumsy.

But it's all good. Slow steady progress. When I record 21 acoustic demos, I'm going to reward myself with a midi key/pad controller and then convert those 21 songs into some thing a bit more 21st century. Maybe a strat will be in order then too!!! All good fun and games!

Hi Derick. They should be arriving next week. The shipment is through bio control and customs and now we just await delivery.

Yes, NZ is very beautiful. It will be more beautiful with my guitars though!

 There are a lot of dog breeds, and a lot of cat breeds.
There are a lot of Fender models, and a lot of Gibson models.
I like dogs and cats, also Fender and Gibson.
 Some of the top end Fender and Gibson Guitars, are fantastic, would find it very hard,  to pick only one, but I don't have too, because I can't afford one. 😀
