Two weeks ago, the G-string tuner failed on my Seagull SWS Maritime Mini Jumbo. It had been unusually stiff from the start, but now it slips a gear before it reaches tune. So I contacted Michael at Godin, who said he'd send me a replacement. Now, ten days later, I find out that it's on back order, and won't be shipped until at least Jan. 7, when their holiday break ends. At minimum, I'll be without use of this guitar for at least a month. Disappointing, especially since it's the first acoustic I've ever bought new.
Does anybody know of a shop with a good stock of Seagull parts? I'd pay for one tuner, rather than waiting much longer (already two weeks.) I'm also thinking that I should stock up on one extra tuner for each side, in case it happens again. Is anyone else seeing this failure?
