From Seagull's website: "Crafted in our Godin Acoustic Atelier by a select few luthiers using only our finest tonewoods, each is hand-selected to ensure that every guitar built meets the very highest standards." I always interpreted this to mean that they are made in a different location, even if it's in the same factory.
Michel at Godin has confirmed replied: "Yes, that's an authorized dealer, which mostly has damaged guitars that are not covered by our warranty."
Thanks for checking on that, ctgull.
I'm hoping to go visit the local shop that's on the other side of town from me. Their hours are such that I would need to plan a trip on a Saturday instead of visiting after work. They sell Simon & Patrick and Merida, among others.
