NGD Coming tomorrow (hopefully)

Well, it didn't have the guitar in time for the gig, but I did get my E10D back from the luthier this evening with a K&K Pure Mini pickup installed. A very natural sounding pickup to my ear without the 'quack' of the undersaddle piezos. Being a passive pickup, it requires boosting it a bit in the PA to get the same sound level as a guitar with an active (battery-powered pre-amp) pickup, but on the plus side, I never have to worry about plugging in on a gig and finding out that the battery's dead and nothing's working.

The luthier was also extremely complimentary about the general sound and build of the guitar -- as he said, "I was impressed with your guitar."

So am I. Still.
