When I was growing up ,"old" was always someone who was my parents' age. Thus, my definition of "old" continued to get pushed further and further along because I couldn't possibly be "old." My parents have both passed away — at 87 and 89 — so I guess I'll be old when I begin to approach 90.
Some days I feel older than other days. When I was 12, I thought 16 was old. When I was 16, 21 was old. When I was 21, 30 was old. Now I'm 65, and old is way back around 80. But I have heard it said that you won't die until you have everything accomplished that you need to do, and your life is going well. I will apparently live until 150! LOL!!!!
I keep telling my two sons I'm old. They agree and laugh at me- then make plans for us next year! WTH?! Kids- one is 35 and the other is 39- the 35 year old says I'm going to live to be well over 100 (it changes with every conversation)and I tell him that's wishful thinking on his part cause I guar on tee I won't live that long.
