What with Covid-19 leading to Idle hands being the Devil's workshop, then certain self-isolated minds must also be up to deviltry. Thus this post. 
It's sad many in the U.S. are going to be forced to sell musical instruments to make ends meet this year, but in past, better times how have people voluntarily disposed of unwanted musical instruments?
Could it be like a man who took his first stringed instrument (a 25 dollar banjo) into the West Texas desert with a shotgun and box of shells once he got hold of a second, much better sounding instrument? Or was it a furtive, shameful incident at a pawn shop where a faithful sweet guitar was abandoned into the hands of a beady-eyed pawn operator when the original owner fell in love with a newer, prettier guitar? Perhaps, hypothetically, a man had mediocre punk banjo whose headstock put a dent into the cedar soundboard of that man's beloved classical guitar. Would it be possible that man had anything to do with that punks' carcass being discovered at a small, local retailer's consignment wall the next day?
All hypothetical examples, of course. And anyway I'm posting under under an assumed name. And you can't produce witnesses.
Or do most people do the traditional things such as sell on C-List, Reverb or fleabay, etc?
Why I'm certain that all of us are warmhearted, Good Samaritans who open our homes to homeless instruments. and nurse them to their full potential. Our compassion is of course, tempered by need to later show "tough love" to the guitars by sending them back out into the world to make their own way.
