I was just given a 2013-14 S6 Original with a couple minor cracks (humidity, or lack thereof) in the lower bout - not beyond my skillset to repair. My question is the finish used a polyurethane or other type? I'd like to French polish the repair and see if I can level it out a bit. Thanks.
BTW, my first Seagull, and I have to say I really like to tone. My big hands also appreciate the generous nut width. I have a '76 'Lawsuit' Takamine 310 - lovely guitar - but the nut is just too narrow.
panzrwagn, I "think" those had a nitrocellulose coating. At least, I remember that word being tossed about when checking out the S6 I had around that time. Don't quite know what that is, or if I even spelled that right.
Again, I'm not sure it has that as a coating, I just remember either hearing or reading that word a lot back then.
