The "roots" of this latest "crisis" run way deeper and farther back than last week.
This Country was founded on UNalienble Rights being secured from oppression and tyranny by an "official" entity, namely the fed gov't. and ALL the individual states now come under the 14th amendment which says, in essence, that State constitutions have to follow the US Constitution.
The US Constitution has the Bill of Rights which are lines to NOT be crossed by gov't. There is but one caveat in the BoR- "just cause" in the 4th amendment. Just cause is ambiguous and can be personal.
But, I digress: This country started subverting the Constitution before the ink was dry.
We live in a monkey see monkey do world. When the leader monkeys (empty suits in the District(s) of Criminals refuse to let a "crisis" go to waste then guess what the follower monkeys do? Can you say emulate? Oh, and BTW, "we the people" (of stinky tourist fame) are supposed to be the leaders. Public SERVANTS are to do OUR bidding, not the other way around.
Example is the most effective teacher. What examples does the empty suits set?
I'll bet a dollar to a doughnut Public Education History classes don't teach what I just said. None of it. History is white washed in the Red, White and Blue of a symbol that means nothing. The *pledge* to that symbol, ingrained at an early age clearly states, Liberty and Justice for ALL- there are NO caveats in that Bumper Sticker slogan. I wonder why "officials" ignore it? Answer: Follow the money, see the agenda.
The cops, and not just in this instance, have *seized* the power to be judge, jury and executioner, at their discretion and they use it accordingly-
I don't condone the violence, but, let's look at our Bumper Sticker slogan History as well as our actions against *certain* groups, (Jews, Irish, Chinese, Japanese, Native Americans etc.).
Bumper Stickers: Manifest Destiny. The only good Indian is a dead Indian. Never let a crisis go to waste.
For what? Safety? Security? What was it Ben Franklin is noted for saying? To give up Liberty for a little security you deserve neither.
