TonyKgull , we were chatting about printers in some thread I lost it.
I got the Epson ET-2760 today. I expect it is same as yours except without FAX. It took most of an hour to unpack and setup. Probably because it is impossible to type a 20 character password on the 4 arrow setup screen I had to go back and do wireless setup via USB.
Printer initialization was un-nerving, longest 10 mins I ever heard .
As I predicted, on Windows 10, the Epson installed 3 devices.
here is my printer list.
btw:: type "wmic printer list brief >c:\my printers.txt in a admin command prompt to get this list.
Name
EPSONB0DC4F (ET-2760 Series) <- no idea, This is the printers NetBios name, but my Brother printer's netbios name doesn't appear in this list
ET-2760 Series(Network) <--this is actual inkjet printer
EPSON ET-2760 Series <-suspect this is scanner
PaperPort Image Printer < installed by Paperport document manager software
Microsoft Print to PDF <- optional device
Foxit PhantomPDF Printe <- installed by my PDF editor, I use it to convert web lyric pages
Fax <-left over by Microsoft Fax & Scan, long since removed
Brother PC-FAX v.3.2 < my Brother MFC Fax program
Brother MFC-L2700DW series Printer <- my workhorse printer
Brother MFC-L2700DW series < scanner i guess
am going to assume this happens for all multifunction printers on Windows 10. Makes me wonder what 10 would do with cutter/plotters and laser cutters
