I must be using youtube wrong. lol. I don't know how you find all these covers by all these beautiful young ladies. Whenever I look up covers, I always get old dorks sitting in their basement or living room singing half off key. LOL.

lately YouTube has been blessing me.

If you use Firefox, when you open it, there is a magnifying glass (search icon) in the address field.
If you click that you get a drop down of sites like YouTube, wiki, twitter, facebook etc.
When I click on YouTube. YouTube gives me suggestions based on my history.
Apparently I have greet taste in young, talented, pretty singers and guitarists

Today has been good. Found new tunes by old favs and new favs.

According to YouTube, apparently I have great taste in old (or dead), grizzled, talented singer/songwriters and guitarists.
Billy Joe Shaver, Guy Clark, Jerry Jeff Walker, Tom Waits, Todd Snider, Hank Williams, Ray Wylie Hubbard. . .

(Molly Tuttle and Sarah Jarosz managed to snag a spot too; a couple of young, talented, pretty singers and guitarists.)

Ah, no wonder. Ya, that won't work with me. The internet (YT, FB, Google, etc.) has no access to my history. My security settings and programs constantly wipe my history and prevent all tracking of any kind.

When I do searches, it's always fresh, never bias towards what I've searched for before.

The reason I do that is because the problem with the web today is that it's great at misdirection and distraction; showing me what I "might like" but always leaving me singing "I still... haven't found... what I'm looking for." lol.

Ah. Well, again, that explains it. I never log in unless I'm posting something. Haven't actually logged in to YT in almost a year and when I browse YT I'm never logged in. So again, they have no info to track or base any algorithms on. lol.

About a year ago they made a change....again. The result was that I could still log in with my XP machine, but nothing works. I can't post vids or even comments or anything. If I want to interact in any way with YT while logged in, I have to dig out my Win10 laptop and use that.

On the flip side, a couple of other sites I go to that used to be the same made some changes and now they're back to being compatible with my XP machine again. LOL. I find that very weird but I'm not complaining.
