I didn't want to be the first one to say it. YES, go back to the earlier designs, before the epoxied necks, and making the 1.80" nut, short scale, MJ body & cedar tops go away. We like the old Seagulls and would never buy a newer one.

Not going to say which i prefer, epoxy or not epoxy fixed necks, extra wide neck or not, as I already own two of there epoxy fixed neck guitars.
All I will say is it was a brave move to make, it's a few years now since they made the changes, in that time they have bought out some nice new models, and would be very surprised if they weren't selling more guitars now, plus they have upped the prices.
Think they are catering more for the younger generations, with a more upmarket Guitar range, a guitar that the younger ones are proud to own.
Yes think Robert Godwin deserves all the credit and awards he gets well done.
