I can't legitimately knock any guitar for any reason except price- I just totaled up my 7 and that's 1589 dollars (rounded up to nearest dollar price w/o tax)- and I have come to LOVE the sound of my Luna (279 bucks before tax)
IF I were to come into a vast amount of wealth I might, buy a Gibson simply because of the tradition and I might buy a Martin simply because of the legend.
If the neck fails or whatever, I can buy another one.
Notice the emphasis on might.

Aside: that Gibson parlor's lower bout makes it look more like a baby Jumbo

I seem to have developed and affinity for the Concert size (I have no clue about the 0 sizing) but, I have 5 of them, and the Parlor Body size, I own one. 1 dreadnaught.
I lust for a Washburn Parlor body currently- 540 bucks advertised price- and maybe a PRS Parlor Body- but only if I can actually play one first.

 Same as most thing in life it all depends on where you live and what resources are available to you.
 For me to get a Taylor Guitar neck reset done would cost between £150 to £200 plus postage and packaging to get to closest orthorised  Taylor Dealer as recommended by Taylor Guitars, that have the correct equipment and selection of different size shims.  The turnaround would be at least a week, or I could make an appointment and travel there which would incur travel costs and time.
 So compared with a standard guitar neck reset it is cheaper and faster to get done, but considering that I could go to my local guitar shop and buy a brand new Crafter Guitar or one of four or five other budget guitars for a overall price less than for me to get a Taylor Guitar neck rest done, I'll stick with  my original statement.

Yes you are right, you can buy the shims to do your own Taylor Guitar neck resets.

LOL.I don't know why you are telling me to relax Derick, I think you're jumping to conclusions again.

You're doing what they call "back-peddling" my friend.  lol.  

I disagreed with your incorrect statement of: Again, that is simply wrong compared to any acoustic guitar that does not have a bolt on neck system similar to Taylor's.  That was my only point.

I was simply correcting what you said about getting a Neck Reset done.  That's all.   Now, you're responding with an agreement to what I said when you conceded by saying then you turn a corner and change the subject to talking about replacing a guitar.

I was not talking about replacing a guitar, I was simply talking about neck resets where Taylors are concerned compared to others.  Just because I disagree with you or correct some incorrect info, doesn't mean I'm excited or offended in any way. 

I hope you don't think, again, that I'm jumping on you my friend.  I'm just more concerned about the pertinent information being correct because this is a guitar forum after all and people do come here for guitar information.  Hard as that may be to believe sometimes.  Ha ha!

I own a 1958 Goya M-26, made in Gothenburg, Sweden by the Levin Company.  
When I bought the guitar a few decades ago, it needed a neck re-set so I took it to my local luthier who quoted me a price that made my jaw drop.  Since I had a sentimental attachment* to this particular model, I told him to go ahead.  When I went to pick up the guitar, Wayne said, "Why didn't you tell me your guitar had a bolt on neck?  That was the easiest neck set I've ever done."  He charged me about half of what he'd quoted.



*The first guitar I ever bought, circa 1960, was a used Goya M-26.  I always regretted selling it.

 This is the second M-26, the one I still own.  I sold the first one in order to buy a used Gibson J-50 in the mid-sixties.
