I wrote this jig a decade or two ago while trying to put off shoveling the walk and driveway. Maggie came in and said, "Happy Burns' Day." When I realised what day it was, I used that for the title of my song even though it sounds more Irish than Scottish to me. This version is from the late Zeke Mazurek's last solo album. It features Zeke on fiddle, me on mandolin, Randall (Rockin' Randy) Kempf on bass and Tom T. Taylor on guitar.
I found this copy of the sheet music, minus the chords, which I added, in the Mudcat Cafe (mudcat.org), credited to "John Yates". I emailed the fellow who posted it and he corrected the first name. He wasn't sure where he had heard it; he thought at a session somewhere.
