I'm the same way which worked out fantastic the other day. Needed new shoes, so went to my local Sketchers outlet ( a place I go regularly, and it was empty at the time ) and they wouldn't let me in without a mask.
So I said, "Ok, bye." Went around the corner to the Addidas outlet store (somewhere I never go) and they were cool. Just common sense protocols in place, no forcing masks on anyone. Ended up getting a $90.00 pair of runners for 35 bucks! Woohoo! Sorry Sketchers, but there's always a bright side. Just don't get mad about it.
Also, went to Long & McQuade yesterday and bought a very nice ART USB Mix 6 audio interface unit to start using DAWs instead of my old, stand-alone, recording studio. Again, just common sense protocols in place, no forcing of masks. These are the places that get my business, the others that force the mask, not.
Let me be clear, I'm not against the masks if they make you feel better and if anyone wants to wear them, knock yourself out. I'm just against anyone forcing us to wear them, especially when the science shows they only help in very specific situations while wearing very specific, high quality, masks (which I'm perfectly ok with if in those situations with the specific PPEs); otherwise, they've been shown to do more harm than good.
And......before this becomes an argument with anyone, I'm not trying to convince anyone about the data. Just stating why "I" don't wear them. If you disagree, that's great. Do whatever you want, I'm not going to argue with you. Just stating why I understand thisoldman ,.
