How Many PPL here own a Clasical or Nylon String Guitar?

It seems a simple question, but I can't really say which I PREFER. 🤷

I do prefer 12-fret guitars - I own 2 6-string steel and 1 12-string - and, of course, my 2 "common" classicals. My hybrid - and the other Alvarez Tony posted - are both 14-fretters. I believe the Cordoba Fusion 12 is a 12-fret guitar... 🤔

Tony's post also has a cedar top - my hybrid is spruce topped. If the one Tony posted had the armrest bevel, I may have gotten that one - but I was seeking the bevel. I own 2 guitars with that feature now, and they are comfortable... 👍

I think the unplugged sound of the "common" classicals I have is slightly richer than the unplugged sound of the hybrid - but that may be due to the cedar tops. The 1 7/8" nut of the hybrid is easier to play, and the radiused fretboard also makes the hybrid more familiar to the 6-string-steel guitarist.

If sitting on the couch, I prefer the tone of the Cordoba C5. If "playing out", I prefer the hybrid.

It may be interesting to note that my Cordoba C5 is from 2007, and was actually made in Portugal! 😲😎😊

Apparently not.  Alvarez stopped using Rosewood as a tonewood for the back and sides of their guitars about 2 years ago and change.  I actually got one of their very last Rosewood guitars in my AG70CEAR.

They still use Rosewood for bridges and fret boards, but not as a tone wood.  Which kinda does not make any sense to me, but whatever.  Just reporting what they're doing.

The AC65HCE would be perfect though.  Solid Western Red Cedar top with Mahogany back and sides will give that buttery warm sound I'm looking for.  Funny enough, again, it has a rosewood bridge, fret board,  and  binding; but they won't use rosewood as a tone wood.  LOL.  Must be some weird cites thing.

FloridaGull,  Oops.  Have to correct my previous statement.  Alvarez actually does still make the CC7HCEAR.  It now comes with the armrest bevel too.  But, it doesn't have rosewood back and sides, they replaced that with dark walnut and it has a spruce top.  I'd like a cedar top so that's why I'd go with the AC65HCE.

I'd love the armrest, but it's not really something I want or need for actual comfort reasons unless it's on a guitar the size of a GA or bigger.  On a folk/classical size, I'd only want it for looks.  I don't think I'd notice it for comfort.  

My folk and my GA (with armrest) have the exact same comfort level to me, but my dread without an armrest.....I can actually feel that sucker after awhile.    But still not bad.  I'm so used to dreads that I'd have to be playing for a very, very long time for the armrest, or lack thereof, to really start to affect me in any noticeable way.

When I say buttery, that's my way of saying "smooth" with flavor.  LOL.
