If it isn't one thing it's another.

Guess what , Fed up Ex was supposed to deliver the crappy DVR today and never showed again. it said they would today yet. I wasted another hour speaking to the same smuck as the last 4 times , I can tell his voice and name. I was pissed and pressed him and he finally admitted it was never put on the truck today. Yet as always promised to clear it up and it will be here Sat. I asked if it's not , well you can pick it up in Sun Valley well that's only 2 hours one way you idiot. I also called spectrum they don't have any control after it ships.They could see the tracking and wondered why there was no movement today. No updates nothing. So I asked spectrum what if it does not show saturday answer, you can go to a spectrum store all are 25 miles away. I asked if they could just send a tech to drop one off nope. Then I said now what, I'll just keep the broken unit they said if I do that I will be charged each month for it's use , what use it does not work. Now if fed------! does not deliver sat them then will send a box and return label. who will send said box label, we have no control either usps , ups or guess who. Perfect.

Is it against the law to slash the tires a fedex truck just the tire valves.

I said to spectrum why even us such a useless delivery service if that's what it can be called , we have a contract , I suggest you not renew it.

I have never gone through this before it's a never ending freak show. Even when I really blow a fuse and decide to cancel their TV service I still have to send back the 2 DVR's , wonder how far I can toss them.

I'm amazed Sweetwater still uses such a half witted bunch at fed ex, can any one say contract. At least they would make it right.

Closest I've ever come to owning a new car is a 2-year old off-lease vehicle, 3 times.  I mean, I  could  get a new car, but I'm just adamant about not throwing my hard earned money into the fireplace via the first 2 year huge depreciation, freight charges and all the other little "extras" you pay when you buy a brand new vehicle; never mind how your income gets hosed on car payments for a new car.

Can't stand car payments.  I like paying myself (savings) way more than paying large corporations for products that are depreciating into worthlessness.  LOL.  Actually, I can't stand payments on anything.  If I have to make payments on something, it does not mean "I can afford the payments;" it means I cannot afford to buy it in the first place.

As far as cars go. Mine is so old it's difficult to find parts and if you do they cost a small fortune. Add to this working on the engine is a royal pain. The rear main seal leaks and to replace it the engine has to come out and the auto trans flex plate bolt that threads into the crank shaft has to be torqued to 253 ft pounds. Plus since it's fuel injected all the wires need to be unplugged and moved.

I need a car and so far since I don't drive much I just add a bit of oil like 4 oz every month.

I thought about finding a used small pickup or car with rear wheel drive hate front wheel drive one with a standard trans. Trouble in Calif is they have this smog test so anything newer than 1975 has to be smog tested every 2 years and I know well because I worked at dealerships and if you need a part that has to do with emissions good luck finding one because most of those parts are obsolete after 10 years or less. Plus the smog costs $150. If the car does not pass you cannot renew your registration so they have you.

NO way I could ever afford a new car nor would want some computer controlled bug eyed looking plastic FWD pile. Even a used one would cost a fortune. My auto ins won't give me collision for an old car and will pay me $650 if my old car is destroyed. All I have is towing so if it breaks down I can get it towed home.

At my age it's really difficult to work on this car. I did the fuel lines and vacuum lines and had the two air intakes pipes off and the throttle body to replace the short rubber hoses that fit the air runners to the throttle body a bit over 2 years ago and that was a killer. Took me 4 days. I had the engine out and rebuilt it in 1997 then a few years later I had to pull the entire drive train to fix the auto trans. I was not so old then still was working and had a dealer provided rental car. Plus the use of the ways and means to clean the parts. I wish I kept my 69 ford van I sold it and just rebuilt the engine and lived with the low MPG. My hope is it keeps going till I drop.
