Everyone remembers their first guitar, I'm sure, especially if it changed your life. I expect those whom were not changed, who did not start playing constantly, those who just didn't get into it, may not have even had a 2ed. Thankfully, those people are not HERE.
But that 2ed guitar..... For the life of me, I DO NOT REMEMBER my 2ed acoustic. I do recall taking lessons with a Strat-clone, but I was young..and knew everything, so i quit after a month.
I recall getting a 355-clone. and then the Gibson SG Custom.. I do not recall another acoustic until later when i traded in the SG for the Finnish-made Espana; a 12 and a Classical.
But this all happened before I married, so all during the 60's!
I may have kept those Espana guitars into the 80's. But they faded from my life in a fog of drugs and depression during my return to college. I have no idea what happened to them. During that period I got a Tele and a few bands..... until I just stopped playing guitar entirely.
Fast forward to 2000; remarried, kid, learned to drive, bought a house, had a career in electronics design and quality assurance..basically the life back on track story.......
It was a new life for me. My handicapped kid showed interest in Raffi and Fred Penner so I decided to get a guitar to help with that. It also helped me. It was the most important Guitar in my life for the next 15 years.
So, in the interest of completing the quest of the topic I am going to declare the Seagull S6 Cedar, purchased in 2000 as my 2ed acoustic guitar.
