Scored a Simon&Patrick Mini-Jumbo

S&P MJ Update...my apologies, I've been spending a lot of time out here at my cabin, where internet consists of the world's crankiest laptop running thru a s-l-o-w as cold molasses data hub...

The mini-jumbo, which I had a relative pick up in New Brunswick for me, is now in Nova Scotia at another relatives, having been conveyed there by a third relation. Yet another relative is flying to Ontario in the New Year, then driving back - he'll stop in NS and pick it up for me. I could have had it shipped, but by the time you account for a decent case and the shipping charges, not to mention the United-Breaks-Guitars syndrome, waiting seemed the best option. The top is indeed solid cedar, as the chap I bought it from said...the first pic was just a fluke of light and photographic gremlins...

Meanwhile, I do have a guitar...or two...to keep me occupied and happy. Spent last evening with a good friend who, in his late 60's, is learning the basics...we spent hours swapping my '04 S6 Folk and his S6 Coastline Cedar HG back and forth...amazing difference in the two...the Coastline is all booming bass and volume, while the Folk is crisper and cleaner. His playing is coming along slowly but surely, and we both thoroughly enjoy having a chance to get together and help him work thru some of the kinks...like F, and B7, and using that pinky finger...lol...

When the S&P MJ arrives, I'll comb its hair and brush its teeth, do a few pix to post here, pop on a new set of strings,  and let ya'll know what I think of it. If it's as good as I'm hoping it is, there'll probably be a very nice Washburn J12 Sn for sale early in 2017...
