Shubb Capos - Still The Best

Who says commercials don't work.  I wanna go out and buy a Shubb capo now.  lol.  Just to have at least one.    Good video.  I might just do that on Monday and include it in my new profile pic. 

I'd have to agree here -- while the Kysers are quicker to place and move, the Shubbs sound the best.

After watching the video, I realized who Rick was...It is nice that Rick Shubb personally took the time to work with me on the 12 string Capo Noir problem.

Shubb is an outstanding example of a capo company the stands behind their products!

I'm happy with Shubbs and have a couple, but I also like the Paige and the Quick Draw. Guess I just don't want to commit to an absolute favourite.
The Shubb is adjustable and can be reversed and put over the first five strings at II for a drop D effect.
The Paige is adjustable and can be left on the guitar just over the nut.
The Quick Draw is not adjustable, but doesn't seem to put the guitar out of tune and stays on the guitar over the nut. It is definitely the fastest to move or apply from the nut position. I can use it to change keys within a song without missing a beat.

Did you notice that, while Rick Shubb was playing Beaumont Rag in D, that he turned the capo around and capoed the first three strings, leaving the low D string open, giving him a aDAC#E tuning, like a Drop C banjo tuning (gCGBD) capoed up to D, but, like capoing the top five strings at the second fret on guitar, it leaves the rest of your chord shapes the same as in standard (or in this case open G) tuning.
