Installed today on Martin GPCPA5K (amazing, I remembered the model number! without LOOKING!)
a little bit slinky?
I can't say they at brighter, or louder.. I don't use picks.
In fact I am not hearing the jingle I'm used from new sets of EJ16 or Elixers with either the Cleartones or the EB-EhBees.
Maybe a coffee will help..later...
perhaps high end loss has gotten worse? ...just at the same time I changed strings on 2 guitars!!
I pick up my Cleartone'd Coastline 12 later today..we shall see....
btw: for both the Martin and the Coastline, it is first time they have ever been out of house! and the. the.. the... Coastline was OUT ALL NIGHT!! With just a TRIC for protection. I never even gave her The TALK!..
pps: while chatting with tech yesterday I realized I have 0 acoustics in E-Standard... Guess I need another guitar Right Derick?
Well is been a while since I did my 4 guitar string change, I did my Martin on 28 Mar 2017 thereabouts and for last 3 day i've been playing it a lot.
I am impressed. The EB AB's are loud but defined, crisp and crunchy at the same time. I think I've said this before, like a sword being pulled out of it's sheath.
I'm picking up another set next week and ripping the Cleartones off my NE Amber Trails and goin' ta EhBeEeBe it!
Ya, I did not find that the Cleartones helped the Amber Trails one bit. I'd be willing to bet money you're going to like the EBs better on that guitar. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong when you make the change though.
===================================== One Alvarez in the hand is worth two Taylors and a Martin in the guitar store!
