Yesterday was a beautiful Father's Day morning here in Vermont so I decided to sit out on the porch and play for awhile. I was struck by how good my Seagull S6 Spruce sounded... noticeably better than usual.
I had recently changed the strings from Elixir Nanoweb lights to Martin SP mediums (I'm still experimenting)... but that was several days prior and I didn't notice a huge change up to yesterday.
Wondering if it was the strings, I fetched my 12-string and it sounded great too... which sort of debunks my thought that it was the strings.
Even weirder was that my playing seemed to be better than normal (you know how some days you're all butterfingers and other days they just fly? well, not really the latter, in my case, but better).
The weather was low 70's, high skies and low humidity. Clear and crisp.
So maybe I was high on life and just feeling good and really enjoying myself, or maybe there was something in the weather/atmosphere that really did make the guitars sound great, and hence my enjoyment.
