and could it become your favourite Guitar, NO, nothing could replace Amber
does the wife like it. 😀 I haven't told her, hoping she'll never notice
Guys, There is this John Sebastian tune, Darling Be Home Soon, that has not sounded good on any guitar I've tried it on because of the 4th and 5th string discord in the chorus (Csus4 [x3302x]) It sounds more than ok on the Sigma.
BTW: I notice they have a lot more models of the oooM15 on the website than they did in June. oooM15+, oooM15L+, oooM15S+, oooMC15E+ and 15EL+, the L being left-hand models, E with electronics. S at end seems to be no pickguard and if in front it is an ASW (SoooM15E+) No idea what the + means, it's not on mine.
wow..a guitar manufacture that updates their product line ON THEIR WEBSITE.. what a great idea!

I don't know how to say this, but if your wife ever goes into your guitar room, I think she will spot your new guitar, as it is not very well hidden, and stands out like, you know, a sore thumb. 😀 Think someone is going to get told off very soon. 😀
RobertW , that looks like it fits there. Good choice to have a short-scale all hog guitar, next to a spruce/maple mj and a cedar/cherry dread. I see an Alvarez Baritone and an Ibanez Parlour for good measure. And a banjo for when the going gets tough.
Not sure about that Martin though - Do you play that often?
I'm quite keen for a Seagull cedar/cherry 12-string at some point. Warm, jangly, and fuzzy!
not sure the hog is short scale, I'd have to measure, but it is 14 fret... update: just measured: 25 1/4" same as Amber Trails beside it. I am trying to place it sound-wise. Certainly not a bright as the Amber Trails, and not as steely as the Martin HPL with Nickle Bronze on it.
I used to compare everything against the S6 Cedar, but as you see, it is no longer in the rack. It has moved to a place of honour in retirement in the main part of the play room. Now I compare against the Amber Trail.
The Martin is setup with a drop-D lever. I use it in some special compositions. I think I wrote about it somewhere In tone the Martin used to sit between the S6 and the Amber Trails.however, not now. With the Nickle Bronze...it keeps reminding me of the sword/sheath sound in Game of Throne theme
The Sigma will find it's place.
BTW:There are other walls in my guitar room, with 2 mandolins (Seagull and Gretsch) , a Gretsch resonator and a Epiphone Special 2
Reminds me.. I need to update The Flock group photo.
I played Heart on it today, 'Alone'. I haven't played that in years. In Bm, Played around with capo positions, since it was a duet with Shelly back in the day and I do not have Ann's range or Shelly's highs.
I so miss singing with a girl.

You said, what guitar will have to go in case to make room. I have six guitars, and have made this rule (with the wife's help), one new guitar in, one guitar out. When I decide to have another guitar, I pick, the least played guitar I have, and do a trade in, for the new guitar, I may be lucky, but nearly always get a good deal. 😀
