I just saw that and thought -- DANG! I just bought a used one for $220. But it was an M6, which looks better, if not sounding better, and it had a Baggs Element that sounds perfect. Also the 1.8" nut width, which used to be Seagull's calling card. So I'll let this pass, but a nice deal for someone. I'm seeing $299, which must be the US price.

Yes...it's down to $299...very tempting...but I don't need another Seagull S6, lol, as I have a couple already from various years, but I'm going to tell some friends about it...incredible deal!

Just wondering if anyone knows if the only difference compared to the less expensive S6 models is the gloss top & electronics, or do the higher end models have a higher grade of top wood, potentially sounding better? This is a spruce top model, & although it's a tough call, I think I prefer the spruce top to cedar...I have both, but it seems the spruce has a bit more volume & brightness. I love my cedar model Seagulls also, but I got the spruce Concert Hall that was also a SDOTD a while back, & was blown away by how wonderful it sounds & how much volume it produces for being a smaller body guitar!

Anyway, hope some folks take advantage of this...they will be getting a fantastic instrument at a super price! :)

Not fair, not really a "new member", lol...had a ton of posts on the old forum, but they are all in cyberspace heaven now!

That particular model was discontinued due to poor sales afaik. So definitely a good deal considering you can't get them anymore as well. The gloss top will make the spruce just slightly more subdued and warm as well compared to the non-gloss topped ones, which, if the site is accurate, is all you can get now in the S6 series. Godin does not like gloss tops for some reason. lol.

Good catch!!!! Yes, this model was discontinued last year. AND it has the 1.72" nut.
