Since my recent string change and fretboard spa day I have noticed something about that fretboard.

I had never liked the abalone fret markers. They were miniature versions of the Martin 000m-15 markers. Dull looking, even.

But I've noticed that when playing the guitars, you see the markers at an angle. And they are all visible and sparkling. It's as if the pieces were cut so to be best viewed at the same angle.

Nice.

RobertW, Ya, abalone is cool. Personally, I love abalone inlays as fret markers or rosettes or purfling. Not too much, but a nice little bit of it is really nice to my eyes.

My dread has just enough of it to make it reeeeeeal purdy to me.
