Last night we talked on the phone while watching a sprint car race.. his last text was, "Love you pop. It was good talking to you"....

when I do this song at open mic I explain it can be for all off spring even though it was written for Willie's daughter. I sometimes got choked up singing it...

I apologize for bothering y'all- my greatest/fondest memory of him, is when he was younger, 9 maybe 10 years old and I said to him: I hope you never lose your enthusiasm for life...

I envied that about him, but admired it at the same time. He had an enthusiasm I have never seen again... he was my intellectual clone. He was a deep thinker and wise beyond his years. He loved his babies as much, if not more, than, I love mine...

Proved to be good advice...and so many family and friends just wrapped me up and carried me until I could get my feet under me again. "Take things one day at a time, one step at a time, and do it at your own pace", I was told, and it worked...took a while and some effort, , but it worked. We'll see you back here when you are ready...meanwhile, take care of yourself...

This was our favorite song when he was a little guy- I had him sitting between my legs driving through an apt parking lot when he was 3- I had his older brother standing between my legs and guiding my old pick up when he was barely walking- needless to say this song sets heavy on my heart
