i woke up sunday morning to a HDD crash on my HP Envy Recline. not a little crash and completely dead drive. My hd usb interface could not see it, motor no spin. dead, dead, dead 
I had been working on the reconciliation of my daughter's bank and spreadsheet, as curator I was preparing her annual report. I thought "Good thing i have automatic back up, especially of her folder.
Then I discovered that the automatic backup had failed to work since last Feb.
While I was trying to recreate 7 months of data, Bell Fibe decided to go down. (Late we discovered it was disgruntled employee sabotage.) Was down for 17hrs or so.
It took the tech 6 hours and 3 replacement modems to solve the problems.
I decided to try to recreate what I need on my old Windows 7 Ultimate box.
I have spent the last 5 days recovering website and device passwords, trying to remember what others are lost, installing software that I had used on Envy on my Win7 machine, like OpenOffice, and pulling my hair out because this box only has 250gb SSD. Lucky i have 17TB of external drive on 2 NAS and a USB.
Just now, I realized i lost all my guitar videos, not backed up except for the few I had uploaded to YouTube.
I can honestly say, "I'm too old for this crap"
