Back when I was trying to make sure i had hex keys to fit my guitars, I started checking the few I had and going through my tool chest. As I used to own Honda motorcycles and have built Ikea furniture, I had quite a few hex keys
I used the vinyl pack from that one key that came with my Epiphone Special II to store them. The Epiphone was a 4mm. I found an Ikea 5mm that fit the S6. The NE Amber Trails was more of a problem.
When I inquired about the hex key, Michel made no mention that it should have been included. He just told me the size. Which seemed to be incorrect.

Hi,
You'll need a 4 mm allen key to adjust your guitar's truss rod.

I was quite surprised at your reply, as I had tried inserting the 4mm at every accessible angle and was unable to insert it. The 5/32 on the other hand fit easily, without any play.
After many tries and use of a needle awl to clean the hex socket, I was able to insert the 5mm, a very tight.fit. It seems wood or metal debris of some sort constricted the hex socket. This is something that should be on checklist during Q.C inspection.
I have 7 acoustics, 2 mandolins, a banjo and 2 electrics, purchased from 4 different local stores and 1 in Alberta.
I have 4 hey keys, 2 long handle 5mm, black, size stamped, a tiny 4 mm and a long 5/32"
The 5mm's came from Ikea kits.

So these 4 stores came together to agree to make sure I, personally, didn't get my packet. Some of them must have had to actually open the boxes, remove the packet and tape the boxes up again. SO much extra work! What astounding customer service!

Don't believe everything a Seagull "rep" tells you.
