I think I got lucky again. A rare model, but this one looks to be in MINT condition! They say the tone knob doesn't work. That's probably a bad capacitor that I can replace. Or I have the electronics for the other FG-110E that I'm pretty sure fully worked.
The auction ended 9:17pm last night. We were driving back from New Jersey after picking her up our daughter from going on vacation to the North Carolina Outer Banks last week with her friends family. For those of you who follow the news, the whole Outer Banks lost power Thursday morning when the bridge construction crew severed all the underground power lines. They left Friday, but all visitors were told to be out of the area by Saturday at 6am. The estimated repair time is 1 to 2 weeks!!!
Because the drive to NJ totally sucked, I had my wife drive home. Also because we might get stuck in traffic and we wouldn't be home before the action ended. And we did. Hit major traffic twice. It ended up taking us 3.5 hours for what could have been a slightly over 2 hour ride. So I watched the GPS on my phone AND watched the auction. With a half hour to go someone bumped it up to $155, and oddly no one else bid as I snuck my bid in with 30 seconds to go.
Pictures can sometimes be deceiving, but it looks mint. We'll see. I sent them a message, asking to confirm they will ship FEDEX so I can have it sent to the local FEDEX Office location vs. it sitting in the hot August sun in full view of the street on our front porch for a few hours.
