GOTCHA!! I told you the Coastline Folk has magic powers!

I'm big enough to handle a dread but the folk is much easier in bed. Playing the guitar that is.

I think I like my Coastline Folk more than the Maritime Folk. Haven't gotten the Maritime out yet this year.

My Coastline has very nice clarity and sustain, more than the S6 dread, but it obviously doesn't have the low end of the S6. But that's not it's job. It's a great fingerstyle guitar.

I just noodle around with chords and fingerpicking. Random stuff.

Has anyone else noticed this? 

I love my Coastline folk so much, but I think the size, now that I think of it and played it a bit after reading this thread, has one bit of a drawback.

It seems, that I can notice the strings getting old easier or quicker on the Folk than on my dreadnaught.  Not sure why that is.  I "think" or my "theory" is that it has something to do with the size not pushing out as much sound as a dread and therefore any dullness due to age is more prominent.  But I'm not 100% sure on that.

What do you guys think?

Not complaining though, just something I noticed is all. 

Bit of a cheat here, but I have the Simon and Patrick, Woodland Pro, all solid wood, slotted headstock, sunburst finish. Now that is one of a hell great guitar.

The Coastline Folk is a great sitting in bed guitar. Mine is very clear and articulate. But it doesn't stand up against a dread for fullness of sound.

Dave, you still got it up on the wall within reach? I don't dare hang mine up like that here in earthquake prone So Cal 

Not too many earthquakes here in CT.  There was one in Virginia a few years ago that was swaying the wires in the factory I work in.

I just sort of discovered this model and gee it sure looks and sounds sweet. Is the neck profile the same as the Seagull Folk? Is it short scale?
