Who has a Seagull folk model? Sign in . . .

I have...sort of...an '04 Seagull S6+ Folk...another lovely instrument from Godin...cedar over wild cherry laminate, 1.8" neck. Very clean sound, with good string definition, and there's more volume than one might expect. And it plays real smooth and easy after a setup and strung with extra light strings.

The 'sort of' - well, one of my daughters wanted to start learning again recently, after a short attempt about a decade ago. "Sure, come on up, and we'll see if we can find you something". Dug out and tuned up five acoustics: an S6 dread, the S6+ Folk, a Matsuoka classical, a Crafter parlour , and a Washburn J12 Took her about 10 minutes to narrow it down to the S6+ Folk and and J12, and 10 minutes later, she chose the Folk...lady's got good ears. If she keeps it up, it's hers; if she doesn't, it can always come back home...

Thanks. I only have the five Seagulls, two of which I've been thinking of selling. I don't play the dread and I feel like the Excursion is redundant. I've become interested in trying a MJ for awhile.

All three folks models are very different sounding to each other.
