It's a MIJ Sigma by Martin...bought it used over 30 years ago for my late wife, who had started guitar lessons a few months before...once her teacher found she could read music, he convinced her to try classical. She quickly outgrew a low-end Yamaha, so we got her the CR-9. Within a year, she became a better guitarist than I was after decades of picking around...

Blackback Gull, Not just a nice guitar, but a very beautiful picture. Makes me smile and sad at the same time. The potential music and the light vs the empty chair and the shadows. Worthy of being framed and put on the wall.
===================================== One Alvarez in the hand is worth two Taylors and a Martin in the guitar store!
I love classical guitars. I only had one for a number of years as my only guitar about 5 years. I was going to get another instead of another steel string Parlor yet most in my price range are just not real classical's with all the heavy poly finish.
It was a higher end Epiphone , nice guitar yet not even close to the Martin.
Hi Folks, not been around for a long time. Computer crashed and I lost all contacts but I've got another computer and a dear friend of mine has managed to extract some things from the old h/drive. Anyway about 3 weeks ago I bought a Sigma DM2 (by C.F.Martin made in Korea)and it came complete with a very light carbon fibre flight case. It was badly in need of a service so I got working and started by taking off the strings and straightening the neck and then giving it a fret level and polish. I then put a new bone saddle and a bone nut and then installed a pre-amp and pick-up system with a microphone for just inside the sound hole. Since adjusting the intonation and the string action I haven't been able to put the thing down. Ive always wanted a C.F.Martin guitar and now I've got one, ok I know its a Sigma which is to Martin like Scoot Airlines is to Singapore Airlines. I used it last Saturday while busking and got many compliments on my sound through my Fishman Loudbox Mini.. Al
