Anyone here played or own one? Thinking of the mini jumbo or folk.
I think quite a few here have tried them. For me personally, the Performer series was the ugly step-child from Godin that I never really liked. By "ugly" I don't mean their looks, but their sound. But that's just me. I think there is one person who has one and loves it here, but I can't recall who that is now. Hopefully they'll chime in.
===================================== One Alvarez in the hand is worth two Taylors and a Martin in the guitar store!
The only performer series that I’ve tried sounded way too bright for my taste…
The one who has a Performer and loves it is me, TonyKgull , but I don't like the current model.
I agree with Blackback Gull . The current crop of Performers (solid spruce top, maple laminate back and sides, and the QI electronics) sound way too thin and bright to me -- not what I like in an acoustic guitar. I do own a 2007 Performer dread, but the specs on that model are entirely different: solid cedar top, wild cherry laminate back and sides, and the QII dual electronics -- essentially, that model's an S6 on steroids, and I love the way it sounds. Finding one of those used was why I was able to gift my niece (who wanted to learn to play guitar) the old S6 I had.
Mind you, johbren , all of the above is nothing more than my opinion. If you like the sound of the current Performers, then pay no attention to what anyone else says and grab one!

The Seagull Performer Mini Jumbo CW Cedar GT was only made from 2006 to 2007. It looks to be the same as the S6, with a cutaway. Probably couldn't compete so they changed the back & sides to flamed maple.
Maybe a cedar top & flame maple back & sides might be interesting? I'm not seeing a model like that in their lineup, past or present.
