*whimper* ... *looks at just acquired Seagull Maritime Spruce/Mahogany dreadnought* ... Then looks at the other two Seagulls on the wall...

The only good thing to come out of this sickness is the ability to do side-by-side comparisons of the tonal effects of the different woods used in their construction.

Three dreads. Three spruce tops. Three different backs and sides: Cherry laminate, solid rosewood and solid mahogany.

The last -- Lord, make it the last! - gotten today. And all three within five months.

Yes just been double checking on the internet, and just to confirm, their is no way out, it's a long one way street, but the good news is you will meet meny like minded people on your travels.

I changed from buying more guitars to modifying ones I have, making 1 of a kind variations. YamaGull, YamaBass.

Then I bought 2 electric basses. I hope this doesn't end up the same way as I did with acoustic guitars...

JazzYama??? I was thinking more about the Buttscratcher bass or maybe the SeaBass. Or learning to play the bass. Maybe sleep for more than 4 hours per night... NAAAAH!!! I'll sleep when I'm dead!!!

I actually think I have a chance at learning the bass. The simplicity of 4 strings!!! All the patterns work all over the neck!! Unlike the 6 string guitar with the shift at the B strings. That just messes me up!!!!!

Yamajazz sounds better!

And patterns? PATTERNS??!! We don't need no stinkin' patterns! All you need to play bass is a few notes and a whole lot of rhythm and soul!

Looks like I've got my work cut out for me!!! If I'm going to play the bass I'd like it to be more melodic, at least being able to walk between the chord notes to keep it moving.

Have been trying to upload photos but for some reason My computer and the Imgur photo site aren't speaking with each other right now. May have to try some other way of uploading.
