Hi Everyone:
My name is Andy and this is my first post on this sight. I own two Seagull Guitars:
1) S6 Original 2018 model
2) Maritime SWS SG that I just received two day ago.
Seagull was a long hard choice that took a lot of research and listening. I have owned numerous guitar brands and always kept changing looking for a guitar that was me. I found that guitar in A martin D-15M. An accident occurred and this guitar was damaged beyond repair. So the search began and I bought an S6 Original 2018 edition. This guitar will be used for my busking on the boardwalk in the spring through fall with a little jam band that I am a part of. The guitar is great and I know it was and still is the one I needed due to I go into shops looking at other guitars for busking and always keep gravitating to the S6.
My newest guitar arrived two day ago and is the Seagull Maritime SWS SG with the Fishman Sonitone amp. This is really a nice sounding guitar and will be great for my Saturday night weekly Jam and will play it on stage when I perform the last set of the night. Really sweet guitar that I am enjoying playing and glad that I bought it.
Down the road in 2020 I am planning on Getting the Seagull Artist Mosaic EQ or the Godin Metropolis. These guitars will be my go too guitar to be used on stage when the band has a scheduled appearance.
Seagull and Godin really make sense and what I was looking for was guitars with good sound that was built in North America that did not brake the bank. Sound and quality was extremely important and budget came in last. You see I was getting tired that every time I wanted or seen a guitar that turned my head always cost a nice down payment on a new car. What I learned, is that I was paying for the name on the headstock and found that quality and tone can be obtained for a lesser amount of money. I like all brands of guitars and not putting any brand down. I also wanted a guitar made in North America (My Personal Preference only). Seagull and Godin makes so much sense to me. Lastly playing the two guitars I own does make me happy when I play them which at the end of the day is the most important aspect of all. You have to love and enjoy what you play or you will move on to something else and thin the heard. Glad I found Seagull and Godin and happy to join this forum. I will post pictures of my two Seagulls later in another thread.
Sincerely
Andy
