I posted in the 12 string guitar area about the trouble I was having with intonation on my Giannini Craviola 12 string guitar. Briefly, I usually tune my 12 strings one full step down and place a capo on the second fret to achieve standard tuning. This hopefully reduces string tension and increases longevity of the guitar, at least that is what I have been told by a few luthiers and other people on this board whose opinions I respect.
Anyway, my Kyser 12-string Capo seemed to be getting old. The rubber was retaining the impression of the 12 strings on the rubber part, which does not happen on my newer Kyser 6 string Capo or newest Kyser Classical Capo. I surmised that this may be causing the problem.
I emailed Kyser customer service, letting them know I had purchased this 12-string Capo in 2002, and I acknowledged it was quite old, and asked if these things get old, and whether I just needed to get a new one. I also mentioned that the rubber was retaining the impression of the 12 strings after being off of the guitar. I received a response from them within about two hours, telling me that my Capo was covered under warranty, and I should return it to them with a check for $5 for return Postage, and they would either repair or replace the Capo that I sent back to them - my choice. I think I will let them replace it, it seems that would be easier.
So, I just wanted to mention the excellent customer service of Kyser, and the fact that they are taking back an 18 year old Capo, and sending me a new one! 😲🤔😁
===================================== "Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." - Jesus, from Matthew 11:28-30
I recounted Kyser's sterling customer service as well as Shubb's in a previous post. For my 12 string issues, Kyser replaced the capo ( N/C btw) they also replaced under warranty the 20 year old capo that broke it's spring tryin to get it on round neck resonator.
Shubb when informed of problem with Capo Noir, they replied within hours saying they suspected I got one from a bad batch they were aware of. They paid return shipping and replaced the capo AND sent me a free S3V Deluxe thick neck capo, in case my Seagull neck was thicker than anticipated.
You won't find service like that from ANY other American capo company that I'm aware of, certainly not Paige, nor D'Addario. G7 from England has comparable great service.

I have a G7th classical capo - works well. It was given to me. Sort of looks like the current Performance 2 on their website, except mine has no black rubber oval on the top - maybe mine is a Performance 1? 🤔🙄
