Police were perhaps my favorite band of the 80s. I admired Sting's bass playing, his compositions, and his singing (though he had a MUCH higher voice than me! "Roxanne", anyone?) SYNCHRONICITY is still one of my favorite albums.
But I actually like him BETTER as a solo artist -- there he's done some incredible material, much more sophisticated songwriting than anything he did for Police. So here's my take on his "Fields of Gold" from TEN SUMMONER'S TALES.
As before, this is a one-take, emulating-a-live-performance recording with absolutely no post-processing fiddling. If you like, I'd always appreciate you subscribing to the channel!
