The Acoustasonic, A6 Ultra rip or not? Poll

To each his own I guess. I think it's kind of ugly. Neither fish nor fowl. I predict that fender will be selling them off before too long because nobody is buying them. Although, given the success rate of my predictions they'll probably be the next big thing. Still won't want one though.

I'm with jamesM, I think it's kind of ugly. And I have no answer to the first question, I have never played either one.

I'm with Derick on this: I like the look of it; I like the versatility of it and the quality of the sounds I've heard on the videos of the strat version especially (though I'm solidly not impressed by the sound of it unplugged -- but hey, at least you can hear it somewhat, which isn't true with a solid-body electric.

But selling for $2,000? That's WAY out of my price comfort zone. If it were half that, I might be interested. As Derick says, if Fender would decide to gift me one, I'd be happy to take it. Otherwise, maybe if a good used one one day appears at sub-$1,000, I might consider it.

I'm much less impressed with the sound of the Godin A6 (again, judging only from videos). It doesn't seem as versatile, though the price is better.

The acoustisonics (both Tele and Strat versions) are selling for  $1999 USD on Sweetwater -- never bought a Fender from them, so don't know if my sales rep could knock that down some, but even so it'd probably be no more that $200 USD or less. 

The Godin A6 Ultras on Sweetwater run between $950 and $1295 USD depending on the model, or about 50% to 65% the price of the Fender. Unless actually playing the Godin would change my mind, from what I've heard of both lines in video, I'd pass on the Godin even though it's more affordable because the Fender sounds significantly better all around,and I'll pass on the Fender because, well, 2K. 

It came down to the same answer as usual.
We are all different, we all have different opinions, we all like different things.
That's why there is such a thing as choice.
No right no wrong answers.
