Don't quite know what I just watched. LOL. But I came across this (don't ask me how!).
I got kinda mesmerized by the solo, pretty wacky cool stuff.

Not really my style, but wow, this video showed me one thing:
What your guitar looks like....
ain't got nuthin' to do with how you make it sound!

What do you think of this? Acoustic Jimi Hendrix? Ugliest Alvarez?

As they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
But disregarding the make, not my cup of tea, could be totally wrong but may have been a matt finish once, then a good thick gloss finish applied.

Derick , Ya. To me, it looks like he was ripping the front top part of the guitar apart over time and decided to actually varnish that part. At first, when I was looking at it, I was like, "What ..... on earth.....did he DO to his baby???!!!" LOL.

It also looks like he varnished over top of a wooden pick guard. Strangest thing I've ever seen.
