I got a Sweetwater catalog in the mail- turned immediately to the Acoustic Guitar section.

Spied a Washburn Parlor Body I was curious about- one thing led to another-

No, I'm not looking for a Resonator- this video was the 3rd or 4th in line for Washburn reviews- but, I did LOVE this one

as in LOVE that guitar- a bit steep for my budget, but- you never know- yeah, I've pretty much committed to cheap guitars- no justification required for "cheap"- right?!

I hate wishing my life away- like the song says; "I've known all my life it was gonna end", but dang! next year can't get here soon enough so I can resume my career- collecting

I've always been pretty good at juggling finances to get something I want. But, holidays and birthdays stacked end to end

is there no mercy for "old men" in this world?

Really nice looking little guitar. I can see how a feller could fall in lust for it pretty quick.

For years I would work and pinch to try and keep my head above water, just about get to the point of light at the end of the tunnel, then Christmas would hit...

I hate to be a kill joy, but had the Washburn parlour guitar, and I really like parlour guitars, have two at the moment, but I would really recommend you try before you buy, it's a great make, it really looks good, but the tone left a lot to be desired, it may be the tone you are looking for but if possible try before you buy.

FloridaGull, seagullplayer, Derick, I will try before I buy- my experience with the Fender Malibu Player taught me that- my sons usually buy me something for my birthday (Dec 19! for crying out loud) and Christmas sometimes- but, they ain't gonna spend that kind of money- they have kids too. The oldest has 2- a boy and a girl. The youngest will have 2 by christmas- 2 girls- the oldest grand daughters birthday is in Nov- my oldest sons B'day is this month- now, my youngest son has a daughter coming the last week of November then comes christmas for ALL of them- 8 friggin people! HOLY COW!

Yeah the less expensive Washburn ain't bad and believe me I am considering it - but, that R320- is- awesome- looking- and the video sounds good- acquiring either one is well into next year
